November.

Good-bye October! We were so sad to see it go. It was even more wonderful than usual. We are gearing up for the holidays though. Our radio station is now constantly on the only station in our city that is already playing Christmas music all day. It doesn't get old to me. The girls either, or course. They love hearing that Santa is coming to town. Little girl is already starting up her crazy list of what she wants...a coffee maker and trees. Sounds like another trip to Toys R' Us is in order.

I talked to our SW today. She sent off for the girls' birth records today which is step one in the official adoption process. She says maybe the end of January we would be done with all the paperwork and legal stuff.
The girls will get new social security numbers and new birth certificates naming us as their parents. So exciting. The girls will keep their given first names and each girl long ago chose a middle name (they didn't know their legal middle name when they came to us). And then, of course, they will take our last name. Little girl has chosen the middle name Elizabeth (or Lizbet as she says) so she will be AED. Big girl wanted "Rae Penney" as her middle names. These are my middle and maiden name. Breaks my heart how sweet that is. When asked to choose just one she has chosen Penney (which I was secretly hoping she would...it's grown on me). So she will be SPD.
Just a few more months!
And because posts are boring without pictures, here are some happy wake-up faces:

Oh, I am so happy for your family. I get so excited to see updates about your upcoming adoption. The two littles we have don't know their middle names either. SW was able to tell us girl's middle name but boy's is still a mystery. Cute pics!!!

As I wait for another post[I know how busy you are] and as Thanksgiving is almost here, I am more thankful than ever about what has transpired in regard to our family over the past year. If you go back one year and read your post from Nov. 28,2007, you see how Gods plan fell right into place in HIS perfect time. ALL IN HIS TIME .. HE HAD HIS PLAN FOR YOU, JONATHAN AND THE GIRLS....what a perfect plan it was!! I can't read that post and see you all together and not be thankful for our God and His grace. Happy Thanksgiving,,Love, GG
