And of all places it happened at church. Jonathan had to do a prayer at big church this AM and was pulled out to come to little girl's aid in children's church (apparently she had gotten tripped up somehow and fell into the corner of a table). Not surprisingly he did a 180 and hauled over to the contemporary service to get me. One look and I knew we were headed to the ER. Little girl was frighted but was doing well and it helped that for some unexplained reason there was very little blood happening.
LG was given star service as all the nurses had to come by and meet the girls they have heard so much about! She was SO brave and just as I asked her to, she cried/screamed instead of fought when she was getting numbed up. No holding down required. We walked away 2.5 hours later minus a gash and plus 5 stitches (also plus a few teddy bears and lollipops!). She had to take her band-aid off tonight to make sure her boo-boo was still there. Yep, still there.
I asked her if she wanted to call Grandaddy and Mimi to tell them what happened and she said no because she didn't want to make them sad. This child, I'm telling you. She can push my buttons like no other but makes my heart melt into a big puddle just as often. What a sweetheart.
So that's our Sunday!
Have a happy week!

Oh, and fun moment: On the way out one of the nurses that I don't work with as much (and who doesn't know the girls are adopted) said, "My goodness Jessica you didn't just have those kids, you cloned them." Love that.

Sad! Give her a kiss for me.
Don't you just love it when people say "you daughter looks just like you" happens all the time for us. I am sure God planned it that way...Tell little girl I am glad she is ok and was so brave... we love you all bunches.

Let me guess, on her face? Happens every time. What is it about their faces? So sorry for Little Girl. Glad she was brave :).
Our first Sunday after getting our 2 foster children, a lady came up to me and told me I couldn't deny Blue Eyes that she looks just like me. Funny. I just smiled.
I am so sorry to hear about LG. Bless her little heart. We have been there! It's no fun! I hope she is feeling much better. And, I love the funny moment. God is so wonderful..especially in all the little ways that warm our hearts and put a smile on our face.
