We were falling in love with the life we were choosing to live and with one another and were utterly unaware of the miracle that was taking place down South. Our second baby girl was being born into this world! We don't have photos but I like to think she was a chubby, smiley baby!
I wish I could have baked a cake for her to smash her tiny fingers into on her first birthday or to have watched her blow out the candles at two, three, and four. But more than anything, I'm THANKFUL for the birthday memories with her that I do have and all the one's to come.
Happy 6th Birthday Lizzie D! Today we celebrate the {happy} day you were born and the sunshine you bring into this world!

I am in tears too! I hope that somehow,someday we will receive pictures of the girls as babies(for them to have) But I am very thankful for the pictures and memories of birthdays five and six with lizzie...what a precious girl with that sunshine smile! Sweet,sweet Lizzie...we love you
