Happy Magical News

So (from my sister) I didn't explain 'Alaska Week' well enough. We had planned to go to Alaska as a last hoorah before we brought kids into our home. The trip was going to be free because of all the air miles and hotel points that Jonathan had accumulated from his last job. When we got the call about the girls, though, there was no question as to whether or not that trip would happen. Immediately we cancelled those plans and started thinking of how we could use those points this summer for a family-friendly vacation. Thus, the Walt Disney World trip idea came about. We put in a request to our social worker to take the girls out of state for this trip and found out last week that the judge said that would be fine. YAY! We told the girls we were going on a special trip and put the laptop in front of them at bedtime. We showed them one of the little vacation clips that advertises Disney and watched their little faces lite up! We can't wait!!!!

In other news today is the birthday of a very special girl:) She told me this morning (with her little sleepy eyes and wild morning hair) that I couldn't hold her anymore now that she was 6. She also had to run back upstairs before we left for school to see how much she weighs now that she is another year older. She is so proud to get bigger. Me on the other hand, I would love for her to stay little forever (of course:).
